Weight Loss Through Menopause IS Possible

For the last seven years I've been experiencing full-on menopausal symptoms - hot flashes, mood swings, irritation, crashing fatigue, and migraines to name a few.

Prior to that, it was 10 years of peri-menopause.

It's been a long road.

My weight became a big issue during this seven years. Whilst I hadn't put on any more, I was at my highest point more times than I had been in my younger years.

And no matter what I did, I could not shift it.

I'd lose a few kilograms, then put it right back on again.

Until recently.
Looking back, I think there were three main things at play that were stopping me from losing the weight:

1.   I kept making excuses
Whether I was too tired, too busy, too stressed, my menopausal symptoms were too crazy and I wasn't
getting enough sleep, or my business grew rapidly unexpectedly. Yes, over the last 5 years I have built two
businesses, but there are many things I could have done differently with those to ensure I had time for myself.
     I didn't.

What I am really saying here, is the buck stops with me.

It is no-one else's fault that I have not lost the weight sooner. I could have made changes.

2.  I didn't listen to myself
In the past I had lost weight by eating whatever I wanted to eat, but by eating when I was hungry, stopping when I
had had enough, and mostly eating healthy foods. Admittedly I was much younger then, but I knew this had
     worked in the past.

This way of losing weight came to me every now and then, but instead, I tried all kinds of crazy diets that worked
for a couple of weeks. I'd lose 2-3 kg then I'd put it back on again. The biggest issue was that it wasn't moving as fast
as it once did. I found that my weight loss definitely slowed down once I started going through menopause.

3.  I needed to find what would work for me now

Nothing I had tired had worked, so I had to find another way. I'd tried Keto, Weight Watchers, fruit and vegetables
only, I'd counted calories, then I spent some time counting carbs/protein/fats.

I think this is key, and we all need to find what works best for us.

This time around I have been able to bring together my old way of losing weight (by eating whatever I want to eat)
but with a 21st century twist.

What I am doing now really works! For me.

And, more recently I have included intermittent fasting, which has boosted my weightloss even more.

Right now, I have been following my new eating regime for seven weeks and have lost a total of 6.4 kg (14 lbs). And, it's been easy.

This is the easiest way I have ever lost weight in my life.
