There are always many options, even when eating out.
You don't have to overeat because you're at a cafe or restaurant.
You can come back again.
We have to get away from that scarcity thinking around food; that we have to eat it all while we can.
And remember, always eat when you're slightly hungry and stop when you're slightly full. If you can do this, you won't have an issue, even if you do choose to eat foods you wouldn't normally eat.
When I eat out for brunch I'll usually have something like eggs benedict (and not eat the bread) or creamy mushrooms. If I'm out for dinner, I'll most likely have an entree as my main so I can have dessert (because I love my sweets). Other times though, I'll choose something I wouldn't normally have. Like last week when a friend and I went out for an impromptu lunch after a seminar; I had kumara chips with sour cream (they are one of my favourites!).
If you plan ahead of time, you will have more chance of making choices that will be beneficial towards achieving your goal.
Question: What helps you when you eat out? I'd love to hear in the comments.
