Many of you will not know the journey that has brought me to this point, so I'm going to share a little of it here.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to express myself. As a child, it really didn't do me any favours to have the last word, and I got myself in a bit of strife as a result.

But, I continued to be who I am. Rightly or wrongly.

Back in 1989 when I first went to Psychotherapy, I made a commitment to myself when I chose a lifelong path of self-exploration.

As part of this journey, I decided I wanted to help others and share my story.

I completed two years of a three-year certificate in counselling in the mid-90s, then in 1998 I developed a range of children's affirmation cards and thought cards that I sold into retail stores around New Zealand. After this, I ran goal setting and vision board workshops for a time.

None of these ventures continued long term, because I didn't (a) believe in myself, and (b) have the skills. But, I dearly loved them all. Why? Because personal development was the only thing I had ever truly connected with and become passionate about. I knew I was put on this earth to help others, and I wanted to do that.

Fast forward 10 years and I started a blog to express my feelings in the hope that it may inspire and help others. In 2013 I trained as a Life Coach and spent a little time coaching individuals before moving back into my own businesses.

At that time, and more recently, I had some very harsh criticism about what I have shared at times.

This is the reason I stopped sharing.
This is the reason I stopped being who I am.

But now, through the personal work, I continue to do, I have come to realise that I must be who I am.

I do what I do with a kind heart.

I do what I do coming from a place of love.

I have no intention of malice. I am merely being who I am.

I love learning more about myself. And, I love helping others.

Please. Please. Please. If YOU have something you would love to be doing, please do it.

Please do not let the judgment of others keep you from following your path.

Namaste x

Your words give me great encouragement to not let others close me down from sharing my perspectives. Thank you!
