But this time, I've focused on EATING ONLY THE FOODS I LOVE and I've kept it SIMPLE. I don't have a massive range of foods I eat. I don't need to. I don't want to.
Why over-complicate anything in life? Keeping foods, recipes and regimes to a really simple strategy has been my biggest learning with my weightloss this time. I have never done it this way before, and I'm kind of pissed that it's taken me this long to get this. But it has. And that is life.
However, now that I know better, I just want to keep doing it this way. And, I want you to know that you can do it too!
Each day I mostly eat the same things, but I'm okay with that because they are all things I LOVE.
For breakfast I cut up fruit and have it with De Winkel natural low fat unsweetened yoghurt and it's delicious. If you don't eat dairy, substitute with coconut yoghurt. Easy.
By mid-morning I'm feeling slightly hungry again so I'll have two or three of my healthy Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies with a cup of tea or coffee and that totally satisfies me until lunch time.
You might know I'm a real steamed vegetable freak, so for lunch I'll have a large bowl of them smothered in the easiest Cheese Sauce you've ever made. In the summer months I'll have a large salad with some protein and Best Foods mayonnaise. And I might have another cookie with it or a piece of fruit or a couple of pieces of Well Naturally No Sugar Chocolate.
When 3pm (or sometimes 4pm) rolls around I'm slightly hungry again some days, so I'll have a snack of maybe a piece of fruit or a cookie or two or some chocolate.
At dinner time if I've not had my steamed vegetables for lunch I'll have those for dinner or I'll have the meat (mostly either chicken or fish) my husband is having with salad. Every now and then I'll have a potato, or I might just have a bigger baked potato with salad.
Next is the exciting time of the day, dessert. Can you tell I have a sweet tooth? For dessert I might have some Zilch Vanilla Bean ice cream with some warmed frozen berries (I thicken them to make them like a pie filling) or I might have fruit and yoghurt. Whichever it is, it's always followed by a few pieces of no sugar chocolate.
You don't need to drink awful tasting drinks, take certain pills or follow strict eating regimes to lose weight. You can lose weight EATING WHAT YOU LOVE.
I'm proof of that!
The good news, you can do this too. Easily.
Make a plan each day, listen to your body, mind and soul. Allow yourself to eat foods you love.
