Does this mean that I no longer have emotional issues I need to deal with? No.
What it does mean, is that I have the skills to deal with my emotions when they arise. And, what it also means, is that when I get into a place where I am unable to manage something that is going on, I get the help I need. I seek the guidance of a counsellor, at BetterHelp.com (an online service), to help me see the wood from the trees.
There is no shame in asking for help.
Look at it this way. If you have no automotive skills, would you attempt to repair your car? I think not. It's the same with our emotional well-being. If you feel stuck, get some help. This week I went back to my counsellor and she helped me to see what was really going on, and I was able to put things in perspective and move on.
Our emotions can be overwhelming, and we don't always have control over them. But, we do have control over our thoughts. Being mindful of what we are thinking, is key to pre-empting what can become unmanageable. Let unattended, our thoughts can impact our lives immensely.
This audiobook teaches you that if you choose to be fully present and aware when you experience unpleasant feelings; if you choose not to block or avoid these difficult emotions with alcohol, food or denial; if you ride through the wave of these feelings, which will last for only 90 seconds, you will build your confidence.
It's called the Rosenberg Reset, and it will change your life.
