1 cup almond meal
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
Water if necessary to thin the mixture.
1. Combine dry ingredients.
2. Mix in eggs, water and maple syrup.
3. Cook in butter.
4. Serve with your favourite toppings (as you can see, mine is butter, sugar free maple syrup, plus a little lemon juice).
I've always been a pretty darn good cheese sauce maker! You know, the kind with a butter and flour roux. But, just a few weeks ago I discovered a recipe that changed my life. I will never make a roux again.
Okay, so here's the very simple recipe:
1. Combine 1/2 cup of sour cream with 1/2 cup grated cheese.
2. Microwave for 2 minutes.
4. Sit to thicken.
And, if you want more, increase the quantities.
Super, super-easy to make, these cookies are absolutely delicious and taste just like the real thing. With almond meal, stevia and coconut oil they're super-healthy too.
Every Friday night we have homemade fish and chips and I make this (with sour cream) to go with it. It super-easy, quick, light and tasty!
